Reminding parents that it’s the earliest lessons that last a lifetime*

In our winning pitch for My First Skool, we had to get parents to buy into My First Skool’s relationships-based curriculum.

To show them the far-reaching impacts of relationship skills, we drew parallels between grownup life situations and their equivalent in a preschool context.

We anchored the campaign with a manifesto film, and showed how the idea could live across various touchpoints both online and in print.

Big people skills for the little ones

MANIFESTO SCRIPT

What was the first thing you learnt in school?
ABCs, 123s, the colours of the rainbow?

But it’s the lessons you don’t remember
That become the values you live by

Like taking turns to talk
Working together for a common goal
Sharing lunch when someone else has less

Brightening a bad day with a laugh
Sealing a promise with a handshake
Comforting a friend with a hug

Because life’s most important lessons
Aren’t written in chalk
Or printed in textbooks

They’re in the last place you’d think
They’re in the first people you meet
